Fender’s Miami Blue basses

I saw these in the flesh today and this is the first blue bass I’ve ever been wowed by. Such a shame the P is in maple only (the jazz is in rosewood only and looks lovely). I love the sound of rosewood. Seriously still tempted by this though.

The one hanging here in G4M is beautiful. Sadly there was a strict two items only testing so I didn’t get to play it.

Got the P incoming today.....went for it as it's a little different,  but not to OTT.

Regardless of colour (I love that blue BTW) if you get a good one, these new Professional II Fenders are super instruments. I absolutely love my P Bass.

I tried one like this too which actually sounded more to my liking; not sure if that was down the difference between the neck materials or just body variance. Shame I’m not keen on the surf green. Sounded the business though and I’m pleasantly surprised to find the nut width is comfortable (I usually prefer a 38mm nut).

I’ve got a line on a used one in white/rosewood which I’ll likely go for. Might still get the blue one too.

The board on yours looks lovely and dark.
