Battery contacts are corroded ( a relatively easy fix, never bothered me as I use the included aftermarket PSU) 

Works as perfectly today as it did in 1988.

Take a trip down memory lane lol...

Pickup from Kings Lynn or London ( I travel to work in London each week) or we padded post at your expense.
