Quick Licks

I've started a new video series called Quick Licks (almost certainly not an original title, but does it really matter?).

Here's the first one, all about Parallel Major 7ths. Full tutorial on all of the concepts in the video below - some parts in more detail than others, but hopefully a decent enough summary when needed!

If you want to download the transcription and backing track, it's available on my Patreon, along with other rewards.

Also, at the end I talk about my Hayman 40/40 bass - bought from this very forum!

(Obviously, use your judgment when considering what's appropriate for the gig - not everyone needs to hear a double thumb rendition of Valerie)

Quick Lick 12 - II-V-Fun

Because jazz harmony doesn’t need to be boring? I don’t know. Coming up with titles is hard.

Anyway, enjoy this G minor neo-soul groove with a 16th note II-V-I lick.
