Which piece of gear would you run a mile rather than buy?

Each channel has seven knobs, nine switches, two LED meters, and five LED indicators.

And there are eight channels.

And all of it to do something I never understood in the first place.

Where is @51m0n anyway?

This is what you give to someone who approaches you 10 minutes before their set "mate, is it ok if I use your amp, I didn't bring mine because I was too busy having tea across the road while you were setting up".

Wow, lots of lovely buttons and switches, a real geek can never have too many dials and buttons and lights....Lights that come on when you push buttons....heaven, I am sure most of walk into a recording studio and think "perfect thousands of buttons and switches, I could spend days in here making lights come on and off without having a single Scooby of what I am doing and if I am really clever I could probably make smoke come out of something!"

Ooh, that looks like fun, I'd like to have a play with something like that. But then again I'd only end up using one channel, maybe two if I was feeling really clever (rarely these days) but it's somewhat overkill for my needs. But seeing as we're on compressors again, I wonder how long it'll be before everything goes south again!?!?

In terms of things I'd run away from it's got to be anything sunburst. Awful. Just awful. And tort scratch plates which are equally disgusting. The two together are an affront to all that is good and holy in the world. Oh, and Stingrays, that weird nasal mid range thing they do really irritates my delicate sensibilities.

A lovely bit of old school analogue processing rendered redundant by modern digital mixing desks. 8 channels of compressors and gates in one unit.

Those were the days!

If you decide to put this in the recycling thread, I would install it in a Play Kitchen at a Kids Nursery they would love it, and probably figure out how it works 😀

Y'know, it never even crossed my mind that this would be analogue ... I just assumed it was digital.
