Bassybert Posted March 24, 2021 Share Posted March 24, 2021 Does anyone know if it’s possible to get an A string retainer for MIM Player series basses that work with the pressed in ferrules? I know you can get them for the US made bases with the screw down nut, but but not sure about one that works with pressed in ferrules. I’ve got a rattling on the A string because of the string angle over the nut when using Labella Flats. If not I’ll need to look at fitting something like a Hipshot 3 string retainer. Plan is get some ring crimp terminals of the correct size then plate them. Largest I can find so far take a 20mm stud. What do you think the ferrule diameter is ?
