I seem to remember a youtube clip of Andertons visiting the Fender stand at NAMM last year or the year before and saying that every one of that years collection had been sold before they'd gone on show, which I think would have been before they were officially unveiled.

Re. the P/J p/up configuration. I like the idea of the stack-knob controls and retaining the jack socket as part of the scratch plate, rather than a v/v/t approach, and the socket being tucked underneath the body. It’s probably been done before but I’ve not seen it like that...

I've eyed the Ibanez Talman control plate, would look great on a rear route P...

I am stunned. That "Leaves of Tears" purple monstrosity has got to be the most tasteless design I've ever seen on an official Fender-branded guitar. It looks like a Warmoth bitsa assembled for an AOR band in 2005. Apparently  good judgement is an entirely optional quality for a master builder!
