Bass Collection Power Bass

Picked one up this weekend.

What a bass! Superb build quality. Lovely playability and sound.

Great weight - substantial, but not heavy. Balances very well.

This seems to be either a custom build or an anomaly. It's an orange body, with a maple neck, labelled power bass. From what I can tell, they never did the power bass in an orange finish, and never did an orange body with a maple neck?

Anywho, it's such a lovely bass. It just feels right.

Ah yes, hadn't noticed that either! Thanks.

After I posted that I thought, in your shoes I would write to them with yorkie serial number, asking for whatever info they've got. The hard case isn't standard either. Is the pickguard mint? As always, I'm loving the combo of bright finish, light pg and maple fingerboard

The hard case is one of my old ones. The pickguard is a kind of faded white colour.

Turns out after confirmation from the bass centre this is one of their John Entwistle tribute Frankenstein basses. Love it.

The "salmon pink" looks rather more interesting in your photo than in the stock photo!

Does it have, as advertised, "an authentic growling tone"? 😊

The pick ups on this bass are awesome.

I've since bought a standard power bass and they pick ups are definitely different, much more powerful and growly in this bass and this bass definitely feels more substantial.
