This bass guitar is in fabulous condition. It has a couple of small scratches on the reverse of the body and a few scratches to the left of the neck pick-up which I’ve identified in a photograph. It is currently fitted with flat wound strings and it plays wonderfully.

It can be delivered to any UK mainland address for £15

The Fender Aerodyne Deluxe Jazz Bass is a rare model from Fender- bound body with liitle arch top and without pickguard, matched headstock and elegant look and sound that take on the typical Standard Jazz Bass mixed with a Fender P Bass. The result is essentially a great bass that covers both the Precision Bass and the Jazz Bass tones quite well in an expertly crafted and high quality bass guitar. It is crafted in Japan and features a basswood body, a maple neck, black hardware, nice cream binding, and a pair of Fender pickups (a P Bass pickup in the front coupled with a Jazz Bass pickup in the back. The controls are simple volumes with a master tone. Will be shipped in a hard case, not the gig bag pictured.

The Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass is an electric bass guitar created by Fender and was first introduced at Winter NAMM 2003.

The Aerodyne Jazz Bass is usually equipped with a split single-coil 'p-bass' pickup at the mid position and a single-coil pickup from a Jazz Bass at the bridge position. A number of Japanese domestic market 'non-export' models also come in a standard Jazz Bass' configuration. The bass is fitted with one volume knob per pickup, plus a master tone knob. The body outline is shaped like the Jazz Bass, though substantially lighter (the Aerodyne Jazz Bass weighs about 7 pounds, compared to the 10 pounds of the standard Jazz Bass). It's also slightly thinner than a traditional Jazz Bass body, due to its unusual 39 inch top radius unique to the Aerodyne series. The radius of the top means that the bridge is actually inset slightly into the top of the body. The Aerodyne Jazz Bass has a standard 1.5 inch nut width, a very slim "C" shaped neck and 20 medium jumbo frets.
