Open pore blacky, superb in every way, I’m regressing to 34” scale, that, COVID, Malarky and my unplayed Thumb which I’m BEAD’ing. Snaps later today.

Would consider an Ibanez SR705 fretted as a part chop or the SRSC805. Try me.

Snaps as promised, this bass is unused since Feb 2020 and prior to that 4 times a month for the months I’d owned it, one of those uses being a GIG. It is immaculate, in first class condition, as new.

Strung with DR Black Beauties, its a really nice bass as good, if not better, than the Overwater Custom Jazz I had built some years ago. Its light, I can weigh it if needs be but all the info is below:

Roll up roll up try me with your part swaps, 50/50 or  60/40 depending on what’s offered, 34” 5 string fretted basses, Ibanez preferred 🤗 but Fender a possibility.  Can safely meet up 50 miles or thereabouts or courier in box and/ or Hiscox (for an extra few beer tokens).

Ah that looks a beaut! Shame I'm all the way down in Brighton. Need to get somewhere to try a California maybe pmtonline in Portsmouth ball all depends on lockdown and could be a while. Never played one and it's a good wedge of cash so need to try one first. What does the darkglass bring to the show? Is only one of the the high and low mid setups? Does it still have passive mode?

Still has passive, TBH set right, there is very little difference (to me) in Passive and Active, more treble in active mode, both acceptable. Not sure the Darkglass brings anything out of the ordinary to the show never having had a comparison. Its a nice easy Bass to play, I certainly didn't need to try it to buy it, it was not even a leap of faith, it is a very nicely put together Bass. Its 35", I've moved to 34", only reason for the sale.
