Active mode quiet sound problem how to fix it?

Hello there everyone, I have a very important question because I need help. I put new pickups on my bass, I shielded with copper foil tape, new preamp module, I wired everything properly. The bass works on passive and active mode, on passive mode the signal is OK it’s loud no problem, but when I flip the toggle switch on active mode I can’t understand why the signal is so quiet and it’s not from the battery i put fresh new one, is it the problem from the battery connector or the connector wires, or from the toggle switch because it has a little clicking noises or something from the preamp module or something from the wiring cables I can’t guess from where is it actually. Can anyone help me and tell me how to solve the problem please? Thank you.

The diagram shows that a mono jack plug socket is used I believe that you should have a stereo jack socket as that is what activates the electrics for the pre amp that would explain why passive works but active is faulty

It sounds like there is either a poor wire connection somewhere, or the preamp may be shorting out on the shielding. Cover the underside (where all the solder is) of the preamp board in some sort of tape (masking, duct, electrical, doesnt really matter as long as it sticks) and try it.
