Carl_D 5 Posted November 5, 2020 (edited) Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. Have been playing bass since 1978. Have had many basses over the years, both 4 & 5 strings. I Have whittled it down to only 1 in the stable, at the moment... a Lakland Skyline 44-01. Amp is an SWR WorkingPro 210c with a 15" extension cab. Am currently on the hunt for a comfortable 5er, again. Must have 18mm or more spacing, 4 Kg or less and a 4+1 headstock. (and wont break the bank) My string of choice is GHS precision flats, and preferred genre is Classic Rock / Blues. ricksterphil 309 Posted November 5, 2020 Halloo! Sire v7 5 string would be my choice https://www.thomann.de/gb/marcus_miller_v7_swamp_ash_5_nt_2nd_gen.htm I can't get on with 5 strings but I had one of these and it was a very nice bass for the money (the control knobs are cheap and nasty but easy to replace)

But also looking for a passive 5. I'm kind of over on the onboard eq, active pups, batteries, etc.
