Withdrawn - Music Man StingRay Special HH £1700 Harrow

This is a StingRay Special, bought the first week these landed in the UK (Sept 2018). It’s a lovely weight of 8.65lb / 3.9kg - the later ones seem to have got heavier from what I’ve seen. 

It’s in great condition, with very minor signs of use over two years. Comes with the original hard case and candy.

The new Rays are special in nature too - ergonomic bodies,  lightweight hardware, upgraded 18v preamp and EQ, neo pickups & super comfortable roasted necks. It’s a 3 band, but quite unlike the old ones and  can do a pretty good 2 band impression with the mids down. The EQ is a massive upgrade, the bass isn’t woolly, the treble doesn’t take your head off, and the controls sound great throughout their range. 

And there’s no weak G string issues on the Specials - Music Man finally moved the pole piece to sit properly under the G string, better late than never....

Black Schaller strap lock buttons installed - originals included too.

****There’s a spec of white dust on the body in the photos - definitely not paint damage.

I now own a Modulus FB4 again, and couldn’t resist buying back my Old Smoothie Ray last week, which has sentimental value. So the Special is the one that can’t be justified due to having the others... which is odd because I started 2019 with the Special as my only bass, and was very happy. GAS eh?!!
