I don’t want to be around when they spend 7 years in D minor, the saddest of all keys.

Simple notes, intertwining... but you won't get to hear them actually intertwine unless you've got a spare 30 years or so.

Great thread! 👍😁

From Wikipedia :

'Suspense is a state of mental uncertainty, anxiety, of being undecided, or of being doubtful.[1] In a dramatic work, suspense is the anticipation of the outcome of a plot or of the solution to an uncertainty, puzzle, or mystery,[2][3][4][5] particularly as it affects a character for whom one has sympathy.[6] However, suspense is not exclusive to fiction... '

Now that we all understand what the use of' suspense' means in an artistic setting, we can move on to explore the concept of 'suspenseful music'..

So, please make a note to look out for my next post on this riveting subject here on Basschat sometime around 07:45 on 07/09/27....

And of course, this:

Stop sniggering at the back.

Looks like the pianist decided to slow down the tempo a lot. So you can hear every non-note rising and decaying perfectly. A true genius pianist ! Some purists might want to throw him stones...
