Same here. Had so much fun learning those bass lines and playing those songs. At that town i wasnt a Jam/Weller fan so most of them were very new to me.

I love the bass line to Ghosts, never noticed it was fretless. 

Ghosts is a great song and I always played my fretless on it

I've been in a Mod/Northern Soul/Ska band for the last four years and The Jam usually feature quite heavily. Pretty much the entire pool of songs we compile setlists from is bass heaven. Some great basslines around in the 70s/80s mod revival period.

Without a doubt a Jaydee - very early model too.  Probably a Jaydee Session bass and I would guess around 1980/1.
