Interesting Comparison Videos - Stingray Special H v Fender Flea Active and Modulus Flea v Fender Flea Active

These are very interesting comparisons - for my money the Flea Active is more vintage Stingray sounding whilst the Stingray Special and Modulus Flea have more bite and clarity. Not a weak sounding string in sight though 😂👍

I was quite surprised how similar these sound. I wonder if the Stingray would sound closer to the Fender if it had a maple board (the Fender's electronics are largely a 2 band Stingray copy using proprietary parts afaik). 

I suspect they'd sound more differentiated in a live setting.

Anyone know what PUPs are used on the Fender Flea and the Modulus Flea.

Really liked what the Fender Flea could do, sounded great to my ears.

Fenders own pick up through an Aguilar OBP-1 in the Fender Flea 

guitar guitar have an ex demo fender flea for £1249, seems like a good deal

That particular Modulus has a Lane Poor P/U.

On Slap and Tap Stingray seems to stand out as more dynamic and sound I would be looking for if playing that style.

Finger playing hard or soft they all sound eerily similar.
