Howard.f21 Posted August 14, 2020 Share Posted August 14, 2020 Hi my name is Howard, lm new to bass playing though I very been playing acoustic guitar and mandolin for over 30 years. I was recently given a Tokai original series bass. The serial no on the back plate is 4021467. It was in abit of a state but I've sorted out the truss rod and cleaned and polished the frets and fretboard, though it looks like the frets could do with stoneing. I'm a bit unclear about the pickup or the electrics it all seems to work in passive mode it's a bit quiet the volume knob is obvious the second knob is dual function both knobs seem to rotate beyond 360 degrees which is a bit disconcerting. I've searched the list of Tokai serial nos. but was unable to find mine amongst the millions long list. Any help much appreciated.
