Personally no I wouldn't bother with it at that price with those "modifications". However I would be prepared to pay that if it was unmolested, mint and original . The Junior Jets are incredibly good basses though!

Thanks Bleat , I was kinda thinking the same 👍

Quick update on this, the charity shop wouldn’t sell it to me they said it would only be listed on eBay, strange for a charity shop but whatever, anyway it’s now on eBay , I’ve been outbid and the bidding is up to £180 , is it worth it https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264890284682

You can get an absolute minter for that kind of money

They're superb little basses, but that particular one has already surpassed it's real value imo.

Thanks Nff 👍, I might still look for one, they look like good basses

I had the twin pup version until a couple of months ago. I traded it because I almost exclusively play 6 string now.

But they're absolutely superb. Brilliant build quality and sound like thunder. Far, far better than the price would lead you to believe.

At least Dave sounds like he knows his stuff. 👌

DAVE SAYS:

"THIS IS A CUSTOM PAINTED BASS GUITAR:
THE SOLID WOOD BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION
PAINTWORK AND DECAL ON FRONT ARE NEAT,
MINOR NICKS ONLY
WORKS FINE! NO ISSUES!
WOOD BIT ADDED TO FRONT, DON'T KNOW WHY"

Play them a tune on it badly and explain that the notes are all in the wrong places. Should get you a decent discount.

It still gives me a pang of guilt that I once got a perfectly good Squier MB1 P/J bass in a Crack Converters down from £100 to £50 as I demonstrated to the staff that one of the volume knobs wasn’t working.   Turns out (after I got it home) that it was the pan / blend control, I hadn’t had a bass with one before......:$

I met Dave , he’s the person who wouldn’t sell it to me, apparently he’s the musical instrument specialist 🤔

Only a true professional would say that. Also no mention of it being good for metal or not...To be fair I'm starting to feel a little suspicious of Dave's expertise now.
