Although some is sticking out of the terminal, there is very little chance of it touching the wire next to it since the wire is so taut. In my haste to test the pickups with the new loom, I forgot to cable tie the wires before closing the bell plate. Let me know please 👍 Having fitted three of your superb looms now and having had this issue on two of those I managed in the end but I spent the first few gigs wondering if one of the wires will suddenly pop out. So my vote is for making it a non problem if it's not making a bigger problem to fix it. Now... first major hiccup. The new neck is the correct width for the neck pocket. The length though is too short i.e. I will need to remove roughly 3mm at the base of the neck pocket to align the screw holes. What would be the easiest way to remove material? Andyjr1515 Posted June 23, 2020 Share Posted June 23, 2020 Does the neck properly and snugly fit in the pocket? Is it just the screw holes in the wrong place? And are they both Fender-size necks? If so, removing material could give you two problems - the heel and pocket are tapered, so moving it would result in a gap between the pocket and heel sides - assuming the necks are identical in scale and position of the heel end from the last fret, then moving it would mean that your saddles would need to also move back - there may or may not be enough adjustment in the bridge. Through headphones. The pickups are almost too hot for the settings I have in my Zoom B1Four, but immense variability and working well with tone off. I hope you’re going to continue posting here, and not let scale problems deter you from having a playable bass. My bass Neck has a 33 inch scale, and I had to move the bridge to get decent string break and intonation. And folk say very good things about the Revelation neck...keep the pics coming please! I think it will be a case of the original neck going back on. I just can't see a workaround and don't want to make major changes to the new neck or existing body.
