They have wacked the price up a bit.

Mine was only £77 back in March.

It only needed a minor tweak and was great out of the box.

No sharp frets or crackly electronics either! :)

Just that.

Since the lock down I've been playing guitar more and... I keep wishing for a Telecaster. Instead of that, I bought a PRS SE I found locally as I was missing the dual humbucker thing (I sold all my guitars except for a Stratocaster and a P90 Les Paul type).... and I still want a Tele.

I think I'll probably get a Squier Classic Vibe, but there's a few other cheaper alternatives and I'm wondering if any of them are decent. In particular the Harley Benton ones look good and people seem to like the basses. Any experiences?

Gotta be maple fingerboard, ideally lacquered/tinted, but definitely maple regardless.

November 2020 edit:

Metallic red SX and metallic purple Classic Vibe Squier ended up being the winners... but quite a few other cool alternatives out there.

If you exclude my handwound exotic pickup choice, my Tele cost me four hundred dollars with the warmoth Tele neck. I could've went with a 51 P pickup, and totaled at less than 500, but what's the fun in that? With my pickups, it's about a grand total.

As I saw the top of the first image I was going to say "I meant 'standard' 6-string guitars" but when I saw the rest I froze. WHAT A BEAUTY!!!

😍

I also love the choice of pickups and their placement. Well done! I would love to hear it in action but it's best I go away quickly before I get ideas :D

I felt inspired by this thread and after selling some bits, I bought myself a Harley Benton TE52 the other week. Cost £134 all in and I had enough for a second hand Orange Terror Stamp to go with it! I don't have a guitar cab yet and my bass cab is 4ohms, so can't put the terror stamp through that, but with a cab sim in a DAW, it's the sound I was after in my head. Two very good bits of kit!
