Interested in trades for a rosewood board Fender neck (P or Jazz) with block inlays or sunburst P bass body. Or a Source Audio C4. Maybe something else I haven't thought of. Try me!

"Roadworn" BB425X. I was going to strip the paint and stain it or something but I liked the matte/almost wood grain look after I'd started to sand it and left it as is 😁
So yeah... less road worn, more hand worn with some light sand paper and scarcely gigged but still a beauty and I swear the action and playability is like that of my old Sandberg, just a different feel to the neck wood.

I upgraded the bridge to a Gotoh but will provide the original ugly thing with the extended lip for the B (makes no difference if you're stringing through anyway).

Just not using a 5er anymore so thought I'd put it up and see if any interest.

Might have to check the bank ACC after posting but would you ship the bass to Dublin?

I'm not opposed to shipping it but I'd leave that to you to arrange.  I'm happy to remove the neck, pack it securely and give the relevant details to make it easier.

Some answers to questions I've had that might be of interest:

String spacing is 18mm, Gotoh 404SJ-5 bridge, steel saddles.

No case, collection or meet up preferred. Could even deliver if close enough and paid up front. If not possible, I'm happy to remove the neck and package for shipping (sorted by buyer).

I was lucky enough to have a play of this bass recently and it's an absolute cracker! Typical Yamaha quality and it looks pretty cool IMHO.

More importantly, it sounds great and plays great too! Those pick ups are really good punchy sounding.

It really is a lot of bass for the money...

Plus Andrew / @Misowaki,  is a good guy to deal with, which always helps..

Have a BUMP on me and GLWTS 😊

Thanks Nik, was lovely meeting you! Maybe next time under better/more normal circumstances 😁

I've always liked the pick ups in the Yamaha basses; it was just the slightly narrower string spacing that wasn't right for me..

But in every other respect, I thought the bass was excellent!

The bridge on it is really good too - definitely adds to the tone and sustain..
