Anyone in Newington area practicing in their flat...please stop, or get some headphones.

I'm a bit farther, near the Royal Infirmary, but my girlfriend is away right now so I turned up the amp a bit. Can you still hear it?

And now?

How about this?

Oi you! Yes you in Rotherham, East Heringthorpe! Turn the low mids down if you can’t afford a headphone amp. I can hear it from here.
Btw I hope you’re better since i heard you falling down the stairs...

....oh ...a slap solo. Well you deserved everything you get. Now turn DOWN!!

You'd have loved living next to me in the early Seventies .

With my Laney 100w Klipp amp and Carlsbro 2x15 cab in my bedroom 😁

I did and moved to Scotland to get away from the noise.

Back when I were a lad, we didn't have headphones or the like. If you wanted to practice you turned it up. Much to our elderly neighbours disgust. Kids these days don't know they're born!

Aye me too and staying in flats we never had any complaints from neighbours. Must have been good then :laugh1:

My sisters tell me stories of them and Mum trying to stop the plates and ornaments rattling and falling off the shelves, whilst I was up in my room trying to emulate Burke Shelly.

My Aunty ,who lived two doors away could here every "note" apparently.

No one ever said a thing to me at the time .

I suppose I should apologise to the rest of the street!

I was just exaggerating to be hilarious. The elderly neighbour was a lovely lady who never actually complained. My Mum used to apologise to her and she would say oh, its nice to hear the young ones enjoying themselves. It was my Sister who complained. She would lay off that all I played were scales and that I kept making mistakes. Who learns and doesn't make mistakes? I don't speak to her now so stuff her anyway!

They just counted themselves lucky you didn't decide to be a drummer.
