Bought from here not so long ago, but the bass this was subbing for appeared at a discount, so now back for sale again.

It's a Columbus Jazz, a previous owner tried to remove the paint job, revealing an interesting construction: it's a front to back sandwich of two pieces of (I think) mahogany, with front and back veneers of -  something else... Can't tell what.

It has obviously been in this state for many years, cos it looks just like the cover of 'School's Out', lots of mojo.

Ironically, for a budget bass, from only a short distance away, it looks like an expensive burled top, something exotic.

It plays very well, I balanced the pickups, so now sounds even better. The pickups are quieter than the average, but sound great when turned up (as they should be).

The bridge looks like an expensive after market jobbie, 3D adjustable.

It's wearing heavy gauge Marusczcyk flats at the moment, and tuned down to BEAD. It sounds thunderous, and only slightly rattly with downtuning.

Delivered in the UK inside its own hardcase for one hundred of your english pounds. Can't say fairer than that, guv....

Truss rod works fine. Turns readily both ways.

Electrics work well. Just occasionally, the bridge pickup goes quiet when the neck pup gets turned down. Can't quite work out whether it's a loose wire... Very intermittent, though, and always functions properly with the neck pup...
