Trying to hunt a bass I sold....

Is 6-7 years too late to get sellers remorse?!

trying to see if I can find the owner of a bass I sold a while back, see if it ended up In the hands of a basschatter with the VERY SLIM possibility, if it has, are they looking to sell it?!

the bass....

1993 Ibanez SR800le in a black-ish pearlescent type colour, was in good nick when I sold it and the original hardcase with it sadly was not in such a condition but still useable!

i sold it on eBay and if I remember rightly, was sent to around the bishops stortford area

i found this ominous weblink to the original eBay listing

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/mij-ibanez-sdgr-sr800le-sr800-bass-502445751

Will try and see if I still have any other pictures of it and post them here

anyone recognise it? Anyone have it?!

would be most excellent if it was for sale again, I’d whip it back in a second

thanks in advance all

Afraid I can't help with the hunt but I've found myself hankering back to a lovely CAR P special that I sold to @Damonjames of this parish about 5 years ago.  Bloody stupid decision, but at least now you know that it's not just you!

I’d imagine it happens a lot more than is shared ha ha

@colleya I regret selling that one too.  @karlfer might be able to help!

Maybe we could ask the mods to create “missing basses” page, where we can put up pics and a description and then the post gets locked like the wanted ads? Then people can just check in and see if they know anything?

Have a word with @ped Damo, great idea.

Fortunatelly I think SRs are quite easy to buy now here on our local trading website are now two SR800 ,red laquer for 235 £ and 300 £. Quite nice for a bass that costed something like two P-basses back in the years..

I could sell you my personal SR500 (same hardware as SR800 except bridge, but Korea made) if you were interested.. In the shop it sounded and felt even better than SR800 which was also there. And it is a rare sunburst....

But yeah, I know we always want higher type number and Made in Japan...

ah one of the modern ones. They are very good. My wife was really close to buying one at a music show, about 10 years ago but it was sold before we knew it
