So ..... what’s everyone doing

After seeing many BC members recommend iReal Pro I got it about three weeks ago and the timing was perfect, the shut down was just starting and all my rehearsals, gigs  and jams ended. I have several Real Books so I can play along with the chords on the app or use the melody lines in the books to work on my reading skills and have a backing track to play along with and I'm having fun! It's quite addictive and there are hundreds of songs to work on and other parts of the app that I haven't really looked at yet. I certainly miss playing with live musicians but this is a good alternative for now and I'm learning a lot. 😊👍

I haven't cut mine or shaved since lockdown, I should imagine by the end of this I'll look somewhat like Billy Gibbons.

Last cut mine Dec 2018 where i had 6" cut off length. Obviously its back again.

Don't forget that China is a top-down command economy, both literally and figuratively. They will produce any figures necessary to fit their predetermined storyboard.

This is pretty succinct, this.

Over six years working for two subcontractors deeply embedded in a Chinese telecoms business, I'd say, hand on heart, that I wouldn't trust or believe anything that comes out of China ever again.

I did mine on Thursday when the clippers arrived from Amazon.

I'd been planning to go to the barbers on Tuesday, which, as fate would have it, was the day that everything shut down and I couldn't face the prospect of potentially months of unruly hair.

Easier than I though it would be.

I did briefly go for a Travis Bickle mohican, just to try it out, before settling on a full skinhead.

Quick warning for anyone thinking of going the same route, when I was looking online Tuesday afternoon there did appear to be a bit of a clipper shortage with many models out of stock everywhere or being sold for twice normal retail value and not much choice left.

Being an auld hippie / biker i tend not to worry too much about it as long as its washed and clean i'm happy.

On the other hand i can't go more than a day without shaving. I hate that itchy chin / neck feeling.

I had hair down over my shoulders throughout my 20s and early 30s, but these days after a decade or so of keeping it cropped short I actually start to find it physically uncomfortable if I wait more than 4 or 5 weeks between cuts.

I'm with you on the shaving though, I can skip a day or two, but three days of stubble is unbearable.

I always had mine shoulder length, up until I got to 65 - it's been a graduated grade 2/3 ever since.

I went last week - if hairdressers aren't allowed to open for the next four months,

I'm really not looking forward to using a mirror to shave !

Longest my hair was down to my waist when i was around 20. Job responsibility meant i had to get it all cut off but when i retired 4 yrs ago i just let it grow wild again. Its been cut once in those 4 yrs. In fact 4 yrs to the day was my finish date.
