Ignorance isn’t bliss. It’s stupidity with a mask on.

Can you do it yourself ?

No. Hence the fact I’ve procrastinated.

The wheels are but the car is a unique 1.6L (the only one ever made in Imperial red and one of only two Imperial red cars left of any type). Sadly I have yet to find a decent set of steel wheels to go on it. I would like to get it back to original if I can. Hoping to have it on the road this summer after 4 years of hard graft over the last six years ( a year off to build an extension and another year of getting a 205CJ road worthy).

My sympathy is with you sir.

Luckily ours is a 2nd car and not used much so there's no rush for me and i can get by without it ...... especially in our current climate of lockdown (Scotland)

Should be really cool when painted. Mind and post some pics on here for us to enjoy.

Sitting in the garden with a beer and listening to the birds. Rather sad that I can hear cars again.

Must be time to go indoors and practice..

The wife’s car is also making noises...that’s due to go soon though. Thank god - hateful tank.

My car is lovely - I should take better care of it. I’m an idiot.

According to the JWs, there's only 145,000 places in their version of heaven, isn't there?  Why anyone would want to subscribe to a religion where you spend your life repenting your sins with little or no chance of getting into Stovokor seems a bit rough.

Yup, that's always seemed a bit harsh to me too! 🙂

Still furloughed. Some of the guys have been called back in but the business (car and light commercial engine repair and reconditioning) is still very quiet. Now beginning to wonder whether I will ever get called back or end up as a casualty of the blow to the economy

Local garage mechanic (sorry ....technician) told me couple days ago that business was starting to pick up again. We're still in lockdown up here so hopefully you should get a recall soon.

Not all is misery.

Everyone I know in businesses who sell hobby stuff by mail order says business is booming.

Just got a quote £650 all round discs and pads at Porsche specialist. If i wanted Porsche OE it would have at least doubled that. He's fitting what he uses on his own Porsches.

Booked in for 8th June. Will leave the service, ignition coils and MOT till following month.

I've just dug a 3 foot deep hole which will eventually be filled with concrete to provide a nice stable base for my new observatory pier.  Next I'll be building a roll-off-roof shed to go over it so I can sit in some comfort on the two or three nights of the year we get good enough weather to see through.

All 4 discs, pads, two new rear tyres (one “on the cusp of being illegal, other not far off” - which i’d guessed) and collection will be less than that.

Still. A fair old dent. Needed doing.

Wish I had room for one....unfortunately carry it all out, carry it all in for me. I so love polar aligning......not.
