It is setup with very low action, together with its very fast and asymmetric carved neck, making playability exceptional. It has two tonal chambers, making the instrument lighter and very resonant and responsive. It requires normal strings. The bass is in perfect working condition but it has a few bumps, purely cosmetic, and this is well reflected in the price (the cheapest Laurus bass in the Web by far).
