Hi All

1996 SE Trace Elliot bass. This is the very limited edition from 1996 with Maple board and Inlays as opposed to standard and deluxe models. Sale includes  Trace Hardcase

At the time in 1996 these were £200 more than than USA deluxe Jazz/Stingray

The above price is the cash excluding shipping etc

Trade value is around €1000

Its in  very good condition for a 25 year old bass but need to draw attention to finish crack by the control knobs (see photo) .  This crack would seem to be through  the finish to the wood beneath , but not through the wood from what I can see ( see photos of rear cavity ). There is also some buckle rash on the back (again see photo) .

Weight is just under 10ilbs at 9ilbs 12.. typical of this Model

All the above are cosmetics and in no way affect playability what so ever. With a stunning sound : deep yet bright with slight compressed mids

The hottest pickups I have ever come across

Buyer will have to organise courier but I will pack and I have double walled  boxes and plenty of packing materials
All the best

Mick

Hey Mick..... There are not many folks who know how good these basses are.... A lot of folks have played a T-bass, (of which there were a few limited runs in the late 90's,) but there were only 100 sea foam green 4 stringers made, and 100 5 stringers made. This makes them ultra rare....  How many basschatters have played one of the sea foam green ones....?  Anyway, the one I owned was a 5 string bought new from Musical Exchanges in Birmingham U.K in 1996, and cost £1,200.  I owned it for 22 years, and like a fool, I swapped it for a modern US Precision bass 3 years ago, which makes it the craziest mistake I ever made...   On the back of the headstock, if I remember correctly is the serial number, and on mine, it was something like 96SE041,( or something like that..) this means 1996 Special Edition 41 of 100..( not of  999, but of  100.) Also on the 12th fret marker, it should say Special Edition.... As I said earlier, mine was a 5 string, and used the above sequence for its serial number, and  I should imagine the 4 string uses a similar numbering system....     So, what is the your serial on the back of yours....?      If folks were aware of this, it might help with your sale.    I am sure a photo of the back of the headstock would help.... All the best, and I wish I had the cash to buy this..    PS.... If you want to see it in action many years ago, Google 'Cath Nightingale And The Hi-Tones....   Crap quality, but at least you will see it... All the best....John.

Mick, the mods would have deleted his post because of the public offer.
