Love Cats for example. Utter dross! Gyspy Woman by Crystal Waters would be incessantly maddening if the bass was banging roots. It’s not exactly a virtuoso part to say the least (all 1/4 notes as it’s obv. a housey vibe) but the line constantly walks around chord tones and it completely makes the tune IMO.
