Can you afford it?

Seriously?

Can you afford it?

If you can't, don't buy.

Or sell first, then buy.

Hope that helps

I don't think we can assist you in coming to the right decision unless we know what the bass in question is.

I'd feel terrible knowing I'd prevented you from buying a Fodera for example, but equally terrible if I'd not helped prevent you from buying a 1976 Kay's Catalogue EB-1 copy.

Too late now. Just live with your decision and enjoy the shiny new bass.

Unless it's a Jazz that is. If so send it back and demand a refund or leave it out for the bin men.

I can't tell you what it is because then someone might genuinely try to talk me down from the ledge.

Some have a one in one out rule.  If you can get rid of one first then there will be less guilt when the new one arrives.

However if you do buy it, then you prevent one other forum member from having to suffer GAS for the same item.

If you can keep this up, eventually there wont be any beauties left to tempt the rest of us.

And then we will all owe you a pint.

@ped and other moderators - if he doesn’t buy it, please can we suspend his account as it appears to be contravening BC rules

It's a Rickenbacker, isn't it?

In which case, buy it just to annoy Young Teebs.

Even better, if it is a lightweight skinny necked 80s MIJ Rick copy.  Buy it then, when you don't like it, sell it to me at a huge loss

This is one of the more government conscious forms of therapy we’re currently be encouraged to deliver in my line of work; maybe applicable to your situation or on going therapy:
