IM REALLY NOT HAVING ANY LUCK WITH THESE ‘Fat Flats.

SEE THE LAST POST🙈

Bought these recently, decided to put them on my 35” scale Sandberg 4 over 1 after and whilst having a glarse of Vino de calapso..😱. Fatal, put the 65 ‘D’ on the 45 ‘G’ position thought it was tight, cut it to length 😱😱😱. As I was about to put the next string on I realised I had started to  string it down F# to D.... Feckity feck I exclaimed clearing the room of its population.

I am not going to BEAD my four string Warwick Thumb, but these will fit your five string 34” scale bass in a 3 over two configuration.

Posted to you

😂🤣

The strings are the Cobalt version.

Cobalt is a chemical element with the symbol Co and atomic number 27. Like nickel, cobalt is found in the Earth's crust only in chemically combined form, save for small deposits found in alloys of natural meteoric iron. The free element, produced by reductive smelting, is a hard, lustrous, silver-gray metal.

It looks like this in it raw form:

And after Ernie has had his way with it, in it’s long snaky String Configuration, like this:

Thanks 🤭

These are fantastic strings - I use the 40 - 90 set on my vintage pro thunderbirds. I’d have snapped these up for my pro-v t-bird, but it sounds like the mishap means the D string won’t fit.

Rather than take the loss on these have you looked into getting a replacement 65? EB list them as being available on their website, so it should be possible to order one.

Right, I’m not liking these new flats on my Fretted , I use La Bella on my Fretless, back to DR Blackies on my Sandberg.

So it’s two sets of Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwound Electric Bass 5 string sets. Both used on my 35” scale Sandberg 4 over 1 Cali’. One marked 34” would suit a 34” scale buts its got a ‘cut short’ D others are good. The other marked 35” Sandberg have just been removed from my Bass ( the 35” 4 over 1 Cali). 4 gigs 2 rehearsal.

These are circa £60.00 a set. Take both of them for £55.00 posted. This’ll give you a complete set plus 4 spares....

Thanks, please take advantage of my senility they are annoying me.

That’ll do it.
