SOLD PENDING PAYMENT
PRICE DROP TO £1850

Please note that the case pictured is now not available but I can supply a nice gig bag or hard case.

Here is my Fender USA Precision Bass 1978-81.

1978-81 Vintage fender precision bass in great condition

Ash body & maple neck

According to info I have found regarding the date the bass was made here are the details

Your guitar was made at the

Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in 1978 - 1981

Production Number: 9005

Comes with hang tags, please note that the case pictured is not included. Please also  note that the previous owner has changed the strap buttons & the original ones didn’t come with the bass when I bought it.

The previous owner bought it from bass direct & I have owned this bass around 5 or 6 years.

It’s in fantastic condition & really has to be seen to be appreciated.

I took it to a bass gathering a while back  & it got some favorable comments

Price is £1950

I’m not really after trades at the moment.

More pictures are available If anyone wants a particular shot

Big thanks to Michael aka “water of tyne”  for the main photo!

I’d prefer cash on collection so the bass can be tried out but I maybe willing to post or maybe meet half way with potential buyers.

I have lots of positive feedback on here & been a member for over 10 years.

Any questions fire away!

Hi, I think it’s approximately 10lbs if memory serves me right.
Your more than welcome to try it out. I think most 70s P basses that are made from ash are around the 10lb mark.
Cheers 👍🏻

Thanks,  would love to give it a whirl but I'm at the wrong end of the country sadly.

Ok mate, no problem. Would you like me to get an accurate weight & look into a cost for sending the bass? Or was it just a general question regarding the weight?

Cheers

Was more curious as I saw it was Ash (which I assumed to be Ash Ash as opposed to Swamp Ash).  Assumed it would be heavier.

Hey everyone..

This is one seriously superb instrument. I had the pleasure of playing it when I popped along to pick up another bass from Anth. Gorgeous Ash grain (the pictures really don't do it justice). Very comfortable neck - dead straight, with a clear authoritive sound (but also punchy!) no dead spots. Perfect balance and sits well under the hands. It's in immaculate condition too.

I can't believe no one has snapped this bass up yet!!!

Top bloke to deal with too (for a drummer! 😂

Hi Graham, Thanks for the kind words. Yeah it is a nice bass but I've got about 3 basses too many (for a drummer)!

Hope the 77/78 Sunburst Precision is getting the playing time it deserved.

Cheers mate - Anth
