Looking for a single Gotoh GB640

I have a set of four, chrome Gotoh GB640's, currently residing on my P-bass. I want to swap them over to my recently acquired SBMM S.U.B.5, but obviously, I'm going to need an extra GB640 for the fifth string. Does anyone know where I can get a single machine head? Also will a standard GB640 do the job or do I need a GB640R, as it's on the other side of the head?

Not sure about the R version but give Touchstone Tonewoods a ring as they ordered me a set recently. Lead time was 2 months. Philadelphia Lutyhiers sell some Gotohs individually https://www.philadelphialuthiertools.com/bass-tuning-machines/

Thanks for that. It looks as though the GB640 is 'left hand only' and can't be used on the right hand side of the headstock. Gotoh have recommended GB528's  If I've got to but a complete set, I may look at Hipshot Ultralites too

I have yet to fit my 640s as I need to make the holes bigger but I am impressed that you can adjust the torque. I am also impressed at the lack of play in the posts as opposed to any other machine heads I have seen. Add the weight saving and it is a winner.
