Don’t you worry about any of that, the Bass Bashes are the very antithesis of all that old bollo. Your description of your playing is exactly how I’d describe mine and I have a gas at the Bashes.

Sounds like a good description of my playing too.

Actually slightly better!

It does sound good actually, looks like it would be all clean and hifi sounding, but it isn't, those 'single coils' are humbuckers and they sound great. All the way up to the 26th fret.

26th fret? Busted you are really a guitard.

Ironically looking around now at my guitars and basses, the average fret number on the basses is higher than the guitars. Most of my basses are 24 fret, most of the guitars are 22!

I have just realised that the Greg Bennet bass in my profile pic is 24 frets as is my Yamaha 5 string. Let's not mention my Les Paul...

Provisional new date for the next BFSWBB is:

SUNDAY 6 JUNE 2021

This is the Sunday AFTER the Spring Bank Holiday Monday and I've chosen a later date to (hopefully) allow the nightmare that is covid-19 to finally be under control.

Unless a significant number of you post in the next few days that you can't make it, I'll confirm the booking with the hall and on here.

Bring it on!!!
