Hi all,
I'm just casting out a feeler here.
I';m thinking of moving on my
Burns Bison in white with Gold Hardware.
the serial no on the neck plate seems to indicate that it was made in 2006
Its a solid beast and is totally original,
There is a tiny paint chip on top of the headstock-I've took a photo to show it.
i've recently put a new set of strings on it.
I'm not using it that much these days and feel that it would be better off with a new owner.
you are welcome to pop in for a try out.
Includes a hard case.P+P will be extra,
pick up preferred.
350.00.
Trev.
for some reason I'm not able to upload any photo's at the mo'

Coo, this place has changed a bit since I was last here!

Anyway, to business; about this time last year I sold off all my studio and stage gear as part of my progressive withdrawal from active duty. It went well, with almost everything finding a suitable home.

Now it's time to start shifting some of my instruments. Not selling everything this time, but I will be reducing my stock somewhat. At some point in the foreseeable future I'll be putting up details of my Thumb 5 BO, Roscoe 3000 fretless and probably a couple of others as well (I haven't finally decided yet),but let's start with....

This:

It's a '77, and apart from the main ashtray is completely original as far as I know. As you can see from the photos it's lived a full life, but it sounds and plays just as it should. The neck pocket is a very nice fit (unlike some of it's brethren). It's quite heavy, but certainly not the heaviest I've seen. I'm afraid I don't have the original case, but will be able to lay my hands on something suitable.

I've had it for around 2 years, and before that it was owned by Deezbar of this forum. I haven't asked him, but I'm sure he won't mind answering the odd question about it 'cos he's a nice bloke! Very busy last I heard though... I did a trade with him for my '84 Wal. I'm looking to sell at a fair price, so let's start with [s]£1700[/s] £1600 and see where it goes. As always I'm happy to be flexible and will discuss any fair offer (especially in the present climate so helpfully visited on us by the banks - thanks guys :) ), but it's a good working example of a vintage classic instrument so let's keep it real please.

As always, I'm happy to answer any and all sensible questions, and will be pleased to deliver it more or less anywhere in mainland UK for fuel at 25p/mile round trip (I live in the Sutton Coldfield area these days so am well within range of a surprising range of places) Please ask if you want more photos. Feel free to check my feedback - I'm happy to be judged by the people I've traded with.

Very, very pretty!
It would look even better with the proper cover over the neck pickup :)
This one belongs on a Precision Bass.

Are you planning on selling your SEI at some point?
Do you still own the headless Shuker too?

Hi Jeroen. Long time no see. :)

Yeah, it's a pity about the ashtray but I had it available and it fitted so I decided to make some use of it. I can always take it off if it helps to sell the instrument! :o

I did think about offering it on Leftybass as I know there's a bit of interest over there. We'll see...

As to the SEI, I'm actually quite conflicted about that one. It was my last main instrument and I'm still very attached to it. At some point I guess it'll go the same way as the others, but I'm resisting it as long as I can. Interestingly, you're the third person that's asked about it despite the fact that it's not officially for sale! Perhaps someone's trying to tell me something... :)

The Shuker went a little while ago. Much as I liked it I couldn't justify keeping it as well as the SEI.

Apologies Jeroen. I didn't get your drift about the neck p/u tray first time round. Never does any harm to actually be awake! :)

So, to reiterate: it's a '77, and apart from both the ashtrays it's all original as far as I know. I'll be happy to send more detailed shots to anyone who wants them (but not for a few days as I'm currently away from home).

Hey there, all you lefties. Sorry to cut in, and interrupt whatever is going on here! So I am a big Wal bass fan myself, from Copenhagen, and I just saw a Lefty black 5 string MK II 1988 bass for sale - it is in Malmø, that is in Sweden, just across the bridge from Copenhagen. I'll take no responsibility, and I have no affiliation with the seller, just felt that I had to tell someone about it :) . I used to own this- Very heavy and has a massively chunky baseball-bat-esque neck that I couldn't deal with.

But what a sound! Were it not for the ergonimics I'd probably still have it

Always liked the look of this bass.
Shame I've no spare cash and have decided to go back to playing 5 string for most gigs.
Best of luck with the sale.

Vox Phantom, one of the ones recently built from old parts.
I'm not the seller and know nothing about it (except it's not far from me).

The usual caveats apply - "cash only" ?!

Since I put my '77 Jazz up for sale I've had quite a lot of enquiries about my other instruments! :)

In order to stop those pesky PM's (and with full respect to those who've been very complimentary about the collection) can I just say this:

In my time with the SEI I've developed a strong (some might even say unnatural) affection for it. In the short term at least it's not for sale (although it's time will no doubt come);

The Thumb 5 BO will be up for sale in due course, but I want to get it serviced first - watch this space;

The Roscoe 3000 will likewise be up for sale once I've had it serviced;

The others will be progressively sold off in the New Year. I'm aware that not many people know about Regenerate Guitar Works and their products. It's a single guy who lives in the Seattle area and mostly makes high end lookalikes of Fender originals. I currently have two of his basses, and you can find pictures of them here (it's the two lefties at the bottom of the page):

http://regenerateguitarworks.com/?page_id=498

You need to hold them and play them to appreciate just how good they are.

More info as it becomes available.

Need a little help, on the hunt for a P-bass, or a 5 string. Interested in anything on offer though, budget is 800, can stretch to a little more though if needed.

For the 5, had my eye on the spector legend 5, but after getting in contact with various shops/distributor's, seems im gonna have to order from the U.S which I really would rather avoid.

I was also wondering, do they/did they ever make mex p's? Can only find american's at around 1,100 cheapest! As for second hand, just a whole lotta Jazz basses . . .

Thanks guys!
