Hi Guys,

Selling my absolutely gorgeous Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass. It's from 2008 and in fantastic albeit relic'd condition! I'm going to lift the information from the original advert where I bought it which i found and have linked below incase anyone want's to review it; I'm also using Chewie's photos as they're outstanding and I can't do anything as good.

The bass is strung with GHS bass boomers light gauge and was setup by John Wesley of Wesley Guitars, he dressed the frets and got the action so so low it's a fantastic playing bass but I'm playing my 5 string jazz basses exclusively now and this one isn't getting played. It will come with the same hardcase i got it in which is serviceable and has a real vintage mojo about it, also original VVT control plate, but why would you want to put that back in? Just look at the Stacked Knobs!

Bass weighs 8.9lbs, no trades.

£800 / which what i paid / Shipping to uk will be £25ish, I will have to get quotes for the EU. All shipping will be insured and 24 hour ships.

Any questions please ask.

Is this a Mexican made Fender or a US one? Apologies for my ignorance!

Hi Mr Burns-bass,

These are Mexican made. But I believe they are / were finished in the US?
Anyhow, I know many Mex made Fenders are great - but these are something special
I've owned a couple of US Jazz basses, and my RW Jazz is my favourite by some way

I've also got a stacked-knob control plate on mine (made by Kiogon of this parish). And I really like the extra control it gives you.

I don't know the seller, but this is a good price, for a great bass - and that control plate would set you back a bit too....

Splendid 1st run example, made late 2008 for NAMM 2009 release.

In the unlikely even of my AVRI FSR 75 going, I'll be on the A1.

GLWTS

As ever, karlfer is a font of useful knowledge :)
PS. @karlfer - how can you tell it's among the 1st run?

If ( as it implies) it has serial number starting MX8, it was built in 2008.

Fender built a decent stock level up late in 2008 as the series were to be released in Jan 2009, at winter NAMM.

Only one initial run as they obviously had little idea how they would sell, especially as it was rumoured at the time some US dealers were less than enthralled at the retail for a Mex.
