Sorry, I'm probably being thick, but why do you think this is a scam? It seems alright to me...
Yes it could be genuine - but a number of things suggest it isn't & mean that any prospective buyers should 'approach with caution':

1. Price: a genuine CAR 1966 Jazz would cost you £6-8K from a dealer depending on condition. A very quick Google would soon make any prospective seller aware of this. The 'eBay' price would be less - but a genuine seller would start the bidding at £4K at very least - & maybe go for a BIN price of £5.5 to £6K. Scams work by luring people in with bargain prices that they just can't resist.
2. Photos: 1 rubbish photo. A genuine seller would provide a complete set of good photos. Including a picture of the neck plate with serial number at very least.
3. Zero feedback, new seller. Yes - everyone has got to start somewhere...but...
4. 'Private' auction
5. Location: the far North of Scotland. I'm sure there are many, many genuine sellers in the far North of Scotland - but it also seems to be overflowing with valuable vintage basses! This location has become a favourite of scammers - because how many folks from London (for example) are going to travel from London to check out a bass in Aberdeen??? Or ask awkward questions like 'can I come & check out the bass' or worse still 'I'll pay cash & collect the bass'
6. "FREE" shipping. Do me a favour! To ship something like this properly from Aberdeen, insured? Nobody offers free shipping on something like this.
7. No offer to pay cash on collection. Any genuine seller will ALWAYS welcome inspection & cash on collection - especially for a very valuable bass like this. If they don't then something is wrong. And look what happened when a 'Basschatter' from Aberdeen asked to go & view? He gets no reply from the seller. A genuine seller will always reply & very often provide a phone number & actively welcome questions...more especially if they are a new seller with 0 feedback.

It's the same guy as the '73 P bass in the other thread.

I messaged him about serial numbers, better pics and local pickup. Got this pile of tosh back:

"it has been expertly packed and is in the warehouse ready for immediate shipping, i cannot break the packaging to take photos or check serial numbers. The damage is minimal and has been sorted. i have a hard case and softcase which i will prove with this."

Aye, right.
