Guest Posted August 18, 2019 Share Posted August 18, 2019 Hello there Basschatters! I'm a novice bass player from London, been playing nearly two years now. I've played one or two small cover shows at my uni with a few mates and I'd like to properly get into playing gigs and find a serious band or two and have some fun with it. I mainly listen to heavy metal (and all the subgenres - thrash, black, death, doom etc) and crust punk/grindcore. Since getting into bass I enjoy dabbling in a little bit of everything, playing some classic rock basslines and even a bit of funk and soul. I've never really gotten into jazz but I'd love to get into playing it. I also really want to learn to sight read and start to be a "proper musician" so to speak.
