NSD.... New Spector day!

Recommended Posts

New Spector bass day! Landed a week ago but this is my first chance to get it photographed and uploaded 😉 Spector EuroLX 'Rachel Bolan' sig model 😎 Sounds, looks and feels fantastic! 🎸

A question for you all though.... I'm not sold on the red 'crowns'. Would it be heresy to cover them with white MOP decals?

I jumped to the images and then went back and read the text.
I was about to post "Lovely bass, shame about the red bits"

I guess that answers the question for me.

I think perhaps if the pickup covers and / or knobs were red as well it would tie it all together a bit better.

Still a lovely Bass though!, Congrats!

Lovely bass, congratulations!

I think the red is passable but of course the stickers would do the trick provided they cover the existing inlays. This I’m not sure of, I used the crown pearl sticker set on a NS-CR to cover the dots and am not sure whether they are 100% the same size and shape as the inlays. I still have 2 sets but can’t check them against my Euro as I’m not at home.

Glad I googled Rachel Bolan before asking who she is!

I love the finish on the bass but the red inlays are not to my taste.

Yes, I was a bit uninspired by the red, but the more I look at it, the more I dig it.

I too had to Google Rachel Bolan to find out who she is. Does the bass come with a nose ring and earring linked by a chain? 😂

I'm not a big fan of the red inlays but I guess Rachel is. I think the idea of applying stickers is worse than the inlays, especially if they're not 100% perfectly applied, you'll see tiny bits of red, or a the wonkiness again the parallel frets and it will drive you nuts.

That's fine then.

I quite like the red bits, but I'm a bit odd in any case.  Lovely bass.

Nice bass dude ... congrats!

I'm gonna buck the trend here and say that I quite like the red crown inlays - I'm not sure about the glittery paint finish ! 😂

I must admit, I'm a big fan of the Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse) Signature Spector and all the red on that so the red inlays are fine by me.

While the original 4 string Spector headstock - a.k.a. “Gumby” has a cult following I think the Platypus kind of headstock that the Euro and US NS basses have are one of the best 5 string headstocks in the industry for me. I actually prefer it to the Gumby - but all my Spectors except one are 5 strings...

I loved the crowns and the red Spector Logo, but was less fussed on the paint tbh. However I always loved the sound of this one.

Glad your enjoying her, don’t put stickers over the red greatness :)

I never understood why they did that blood-spattered version, I don't think I've ever seen Alex play it. He uses his his plain black ones live and his purple five string a lot in the studio.

I've seen quite a few photos of him playing the red and white version ...

      Hello guys,
I purchased this bass on 11/24/2018 from Bassdirect. Unfortunately, due of financial reasons, I have to part away with it 😥
This is absolutely mint, basically unplayed! Free gigbag included!

A recent VISA card purchase necessitates me sadly considering moving on this beauty...

A fantastic condition thru-neck 80's Kramer Forum III bass in a gorgeous blue/teal sparkle (subtle) finish. This bass is in a solid 9.5 condition and is the rare higher grade thru-neck version of the more common bolt on Forum IV's that occasionally surface from time to time. Pickups are 'Spector' branded passive PJ pickups with the legendary K-Haz (Korean 'Haz Labs'-copy) active preamp. Upgrade the pickups if you wish to full active EMG PJs and you'd be blasting down walls!!
Black hardware, a 'Spector' branded heavy duty bridge and a rosewood board with diamond inlays complete the classy looks of this gorgeous bass!

Price is £400 firm (bargain!). NO trades, thank you. Payment by cash on collection (from Guildford/Woking area), bank transfer or Paypal (buyer pays all fees). I can deliver/meet within 50 miles of Guildford/Woking area for fuel costs or I can courier (insured) for £40-£50.

Please see the link below to my extensive, positive feedback and assurances of a clean, honest transaction. Cheers!

      Hello you charming peeps
I finally won big on a scratchy and got the £20 to become a basschat marketplace member and all-round supporter of the “low end"... I've even got £10 left over to restock those cans o' beans that's been dwindling in the cupboard.
      All-in-all a great week!!

I'm parting ways with a few of my children (by children I mean bass guitars, if I had children then I would be selling those first)
Up for sale here is a near mint Spector Euro 4 LX Ian Hill Signature Custom Bass.  Ian Hill is the hairy string thumper from Judas Priest...
It's a 4 string with 24 frets, mother of pearl crown inlays and a rosewood fingerboard.
3 piece American maple through neck design with graphite rods for added strength 💪
Scale length is 34", width at nut 1.64"
This is a luxury Spector with a slightly thinner and faster neck than the standard 4lx.
Spector's Tone Pump active onboard circuitry is also present with +18db boost.
Controls are; bridge volume, neck volume, treble, bass.
Wood is USA Maple and European Alder. Gloss Black Finished.
The Ian Hill Spector has lovely gold hardware (I don't think it's real gold...)
A zinc brass alloy locking Spector bridge with string spacing at bridge of .75"
You also got the premium EMG P neck pickup and EMG J bridge pickup.
This little number weighs in at around 3.9kg.
Fantastic all-round condition, slight tarnish on the brass bridge but certainly not offensive.
Please enjoy the photos of my garden below... Oh, and the beautiful instrument as well...
If you lovely folks have any questions (mainly regarding the Bass) then fire away...
Selling for £1250 for y'all beautiful people, I can and will post but that'll cost you extra... Collection or meet part way for fuel cost also an option.
Please PM with all offers, thank you!! Rules people, rules!!!
Also comes with a heavy duty hard case to contain all it's Raw-Rock-Power!!

Amazing Spector Euro LX for sale. Has had a genuine Hazlabs preamp installed which can only be found within US made basses. This is a quality bass I would say easily comparable to a US made Spector. Comes with a Spector gig bag in excellent condition. I would prefer a collection only sale please and not after an trades at this time unless you have a Yamaha Attitude bass to trade.

      Many Thanks for looking.

      Stuart
