The Šabić brothers, at the origin of the brand, are, for one, classical luthier and, for the other, electronics engineer. They manufacture instruments of excellent craftsmanship and with handpicked electronic components. Unfortunately, they stopped the production of their always unique and hand-made instruments to work for a brand-name Custom Shop three years ago ... This is, therefore, a unique instrument made to measure for an Italian bassist and I am the third owner. It is an ultra-versatile and super rare bass.

The new price in 2009 was around 4.500 Euros…

The bass has been fully set up professionally. It has two new batteries and has been fitted with a brand new set of LaBella Super Steps SS45CB strings (29 - 45 - 65 - 85 - 105 - 128).

What you see is what you get !

Look at the pictures taken under different lights to see the real condition : some few marks, especially close to the bottom strap pin and the usual light scratches, but nothing serious at all.

Don't hesitate to ask for more.

Yes, Russ, this is the one that started all our countless deals...

But before being yours, it was belonging to @gioby1 the original owner. ;)

Indeed, and I traded my 9 string ACG for it!

(Which went from me to @gioby1 to @bipbip62 and then back to me again!)

Entropy is a strict mistress! 😄

Glorious bass!

It's actually an awful bass... only worth £50, but as I'm just so very generous I'll offer £60! 😉

(It is a superb instrument, I've had 3 Aries 6 string basses and this was my favourite.)

Hi Giovanni.

Let's talk in PM. I'm on the opposite side, near Luxembourg, but driving to Brussels would would be like looping the loop as I met Russ there to get this Aries. ;)

If @gioby1 gets this bass back, perhaps I'll trade him my 9 string ACG for it again in a year or two! And then a year after that I'll meet Tony in Brussels again to trade it back to him!

The cycle continues!

Amazing bass that really does feel like a vintage bass.
The flea bass comes with stacked pots which in my opinion are much better than the VVT controls fitted to most fender jazz basses.

Social distancing collection possible, postage as buyers cost.

      Fender Marine Layer Reverb,
Bought from Andertons 4 weeks ago. Absolutely brand new, used twice in lockdown, now surplus as I have acquired a Plethora X5.
A brilliant pedal particularly for fretless playing with its variation and control. Has a very clever instant battery change door that flips down!
      Blurb:
3 Reverb types - hall, room, special Each reverb type has 2 variations for maximum versatility Control over reverb time, damping, pre-delay and level Effect tails continue when pedal is bypassed for a smooth performance Lets you achieve all manner of reverbs, from slap-back, subtle room ambience, through to huge atmospheric halls and 'shimmer'. So, save on a new one. Insured post £7. (Also advertised on the bay)

Great Fender Jazzbass 1973 with OHSC. Apart from the bridge pickup being replaced with a same but ‘75 grey bottom at some time it is 100% original. Very comfortable player,  less than 9 lbs/4 kgs on my kitchenscale, good balance, slim neck and low action. Nice growly fat Jazzbass sound. These early 70's Fenders have something different going on. And oh yes, the bass has some love signs but all works fine, including the trussrod.

      Hows it going people?!
Been a drummer for going on 16 years, in more recent times I've come to realise just how much of a pain in the donkey it is to keep it up! As time's gone on it's proven to be about the most inconvenient instrument you could ever practice in terms of actually practicing (for me at least) forever sticking your hands in your pocket to book & pay for a dedicated space to have a jam, as opposed to being able to play your instrument while chilling out and watching TV, and the noise. It's a welcome change to be able to practice for real and make so little noise *cries*
.. So long story short, about 5 months ago I started to pick up the bass for real after noodling about with it in the past. Started getting some lessons in with a guy local to me, best thing I've done in years. The transition from drums sort of goes hand in hand too, so I'm loving everything about it.
While I'm here, any of you beauties stumbled across one of these before?
I'm lucky enough to get my hands on this gorgeous CIJ '62 Reissue Jazz Bass from around 2004ish which came to me via a shout from my bass teacher who in his spare time, with his mate. Does this kind of underground loop of trading rare, vintage & lesser seen basses and shares them amongst his students as first dibs before they go online - Anyway so I told him as I'm really enjoying it & since I've never really invested in myself musically throughout the years at least not until recent times that I've always fancied a Jazz bass & if something a little different pops up one day then I'll go for it. So he sends me a link to get my head around how him and his mate do this thing and I'm greeted by this Japanese made beauty which obviously had to be in my favourite colour too. Dangerous combo.
Since I whacked a holding deposit down on it and since then I've been keen to see more clips / photos of this thing in action. In my searches I start to notice that I can't find this exact model anywhere. Loads of '62 reissues in a plethora of different colours over the years - just none in this old candy apple red with a matching headstock. After about a week of detective work I managed to find 2 basses from real old postings online. One from a seller on Reverb oddly enough with a serial number 4 digits after this one. (though I'm not sure if that's just coincidence of if it literally was 4 in front of this one on the line!) and one from a Japanese retailer (of which I had to translate the page). According to the retailer, in around 2004ish Fender Japan did a 'shop order' model of the '62 reissue in old candy apple red with a matching headstock which came with the USA pickups. Apparently it's become a bit of a hidden gem in Japan because of the shop order thing, not everyone dug it and not many were ordered.
How true this is, I literally do not know. Do I care? Well it might seem that way after my Sherlock Holmes of google sessions but to be honest, it's just for my own satisfaction really - the fact that at some point in it's life it's been imported to the UK and made it's way down to the shire tells me it's got a little bit of a story to tell and I kinda like that.
Anyway, this is him. Insane nick for a 16 year old bass that's travelled half way round the world - so maybe it doesn't have an elaborate story after all - Shop, home, cupboard, plane, England. haha.
      Cheers!

I´m selling my Fender Custom Shop Jaco Pastorius Tribute Jazz Bass Relic fretless, year of manufacture 2015.
Case, "case candy", certificate ... everything available and complete. I´ll take some pics of that stuff later (it´s stored behind the cupboard in the sleeping room).
This bass is awesome and a stunning work of art, e.g. please have a look at the pic with the detail of the fingerboard. The sound of the bass is best described as beautiful singing and the neck is a joy to play.
Condition: NM - it´s almost new.
      Weight: 3.8 kg
Shipping: yes, but at buyers cost.
Price is £2.500 or €2.800,- (and it´s fixed). I prefer bank transfer (SEPA).
I don´t need to sell this bass and the Jaco is amazing ... it´s just - I like to play my Pedulla Buzz rather and don´t need two fretless basses.
This time - no swaps - ... except you offer me a Fodera, Alembic, Wal or Ken Smith 4-string bass guitar (with cash presumably your way).
      Location is Liberec, Czech Republic.
      Any questions? PM me.
