Hi. I remember Sam Li very well in the early 70s. I had a Rickenbacker guitar refret done by him. Excellent job. He was recommended by Selmers in Charing Cross Road. A couple of years ago I got a response on the Manchester Beat forum from his step daughter Fiona Beattie. She was researching info for a prospective book about her father. I was unable to get in touch with her at the time as I had many memories of Sam. I'm so pleased to read that she finally got her wish. I shall be buying a copy from Amazon.

Interesting. I didn't know about the book. Do you happen to know the title?
