Emg active pickup switch.

Hi guys.

I might want to put an active EMG pickup and preamp back into my Warrior bass.

I want to use two switches on the pickups to turn them on and off instead of a blend pot. One switch per pickup.

Should I use the switch to cut the battery power to the pickup or cut the audio output feed.

The bass has holes for the switches already cut. This is why I want to try this arrangement.

Can anyone help.

Cut the output signal, there will still be a signal (albeit minuscule) if you just cut power to the internal pre in the pickup.

Perfect.

Many thanks for your quick response.
