Dingwall AB1 6 string £1600
£1600
Ipswich

Recommended Posts

Selling my awesome Dingwall AB1 6, bought from Bass Direct about two years ago and has been well looked after. It’s in great condition with a few little marks that are tiny and hard to capture with the camera. Plays like a dream and sounds thundering, the only thing that been changed is the top nut to take bigger gauge strings for drop tuned material. The E A D G C are a five string set with a .152 as the low B . Replacing the original nut is a simple and inexpensive task. Trade wise I’d be interested in a five string Dingwall but let me know if you have any other high end bases and put it to me or an Aguilar DB751.Based in Ipswich Suffolk.

British shorthair not included.

Gorgeous!

I think that would be an AB1, as opposed to an ABZ :)

Crumbs I’ll change that. If I’m honest I’m not overly familiar with the models. It did say ABZ on the box but might be wrong :/

I would suggest that you should check the model with Dingwall. They have a contact page on their site and the responses are excellent. Send them the serial number and they will confirm. That price is especially cheap for an AB1, particularly one only two years old. ABZ and AB1 can look very similar. If it said ABZ on the box and Bass Direct said it is an ABZ, it probably is, however.

I have an AB1 but had to get that confirmed by Dingwall as it is passive and looked just like an ABZ, despite the AB1 price.

It’s an AB1, for sure.  Gloss finish is the main giveaway here, as are the pickups.  Neither are specs of an ABZ.
