The Van Halen was awful. Do you think that when people reach a certain level of success they stop practising on their own, so they don't know that they sound this awful? Halford's a legend, but he must have had some major love-beads up his backside when he was singing that one.

Four brilliant basslines! Ben Shepherd lays down a dirty muddy groove Geezer would be proud of than then overdubs the nastiest fuzz you've ever heard. Jeff Ament proves addicted to flange and slides and very bluesy when it comes to intonation but it hits the spot. Sting shows what you can do if you're not scared of minimal compression - that whole album is so dynamic. And Flea is impressively on it.

More beginner bassists need to hear these soloed tracks so they can understand what bass tone really means!

there's 2 bass tracks on there-
the original, and a crappy distorted version over it-
listen at 0.31, you can hear them clashing.

that's not how it was on the record.

Carry on with the subjet and after listening to all the songs we've found so far I came across another post in another forum where someone has put together a file with all the current Rock Band songs.
There you'll find a list of 269 songs, from AC/DC, Alanais Morrisette, Beasty Boys, Bad Company, Black Sabbath, The Cult, Deep Purple, ... to Foo Fighters, Police, Rage Against The Machine, Killers, Oasis, Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Rush, Stone Temple Pilots.
