Sold!!!

Just picked up this amazing Fodera Monarch Victor Wooten Classic recently but I’m just more at home on a 33” scale 5 string so I’ve decided to let it go as it’s a shame to just have this just sitting at home and not getting much use. This bass was made in 2005 but it could nearly pass as brand new as it’s in excellent condition (I could only find one small ding on the upper horn!) The wood for the fingerboard also came from the same batch as the one used on Victor Wootens original Monarch #37! It also has an amazing upgraded Buckeye Burl topwood that is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen! This went through the Fodera Certified Preowned program back in about 2010 so has the newer Fodera/Pope Preamp that can have the frequencies adjusted by moving little jumpers inside. Signed by Victor Wooten on the back of the headstock!! Comes with a Fodera Teardrop case. Gotoh drop D tuner installed but comes with the regular Fodera tuner too

I’m not really looking for trades but might consider a 33” Fodera Monarch 5 or Imperial 5 (with 24 frets)!

I can confirm that is Vic's signature - he signed my copy of "The Music Lesson" at a Hartke seminar a few years ago and they're the same.

I’ll need to check my records but I think this may be one of the first Foderas we imported at BassGear.

It certainly looks the same topwood but it was signed by Vic originally

I’m back home in a couple of days so can look more then.

The certified pre-owned service was a complete review of all parts. Not everything would be replaced if it was still current but anything new (like the preamp) would have been swapped out and the slightest tarnish or mark on hardware would mean that would be replaced too.

Thoroughly cleaned and then set up as new, usually by Vinnie or Joey back in those days :)

The attaches pic is from June 2010 so timing seems about right. If it is the same one I think it went over to Scandinavia from us.

Yes I’m pretty sure that’s the very same one! I also remember this actual bass was reviewed in Bass Guitar Magazine back then too. I still have the copy of it!

Yes, that’s definitely the one - I remember the initial panic of shipping internally in the UK because it was impossible at the time to get anyone to cover the full insurance value!

Lovely bass. I was going to keep it personally at first but then a full custom Yin Yang became available so I took that instead.

With hindsight I think I preferred this one.

May have to stick a Ritter or vintage Fender up for sale now, lol.

Ya I personally think it’s one of the nicest ones I’ve owned so far! If it wasn’t for the fact that I know it would definitely get dinged up if I gigged it (as we move around quite a bit on stage) I’d be using it all the time but it’d be a shame for that to happen as it’s in excellent condtion.

I reckon you need a 33.3” scale Ritter Cora in red next - not least because I have one to sell 🤣
