Import Tax & Duty from US to UK

Ermm - you will  - you will just have to pay 3.7% duty on "Musical instruments, the sound of which is produced, or must be amplified, electrically (for example, organs, guitars, accordions)"  So Thomann may still be cheaper than some other suppliers.................

On the other hand you could import a "rocket launcher or grenade launcher" at a 0% duty  !!!! 😉

No it's to do with the Trade Union rather than the Customs Union. If the UK leaves the EU it will become a separate trade market which means that suppliers that have a European distribution agreement with manufacturers will no longer be able to sell products to the UK that have a dedicated UK distributor for them.
