Having just bought one (g&l m2000) and another on the way (g&l lb100) i am just wondering do people still treat their bass necks when buying a new bass? I dont know if this is still a thing, but the last expensive new bass i bought was around 20 years ago, when there was a plethora of neck treatments and lubrications being pushed. As I've bought a couple of older basses that have had the gloss finish taken off the back of the neck for ease of movement around the neck.
