For sale (no trades) £3100 including insured postage to UK mainland. Happy to arrange postage to EU countries but pm for a quote. It will be fully protected, cushioned and posted in a cardboard bass box; posted via UPS (or if you’re close to Edinburgh I may be able to deliver in person).

Lovely bass, the best neck I’ve ever played but it’s going so I can plan my next Fodera; they are addictive…  :)

I’ve added detailed photos of the bass; it’s in excellent condition apart from two small blemished on the top (see photos). Comes with a fresh set of round wounds and a new battery (I’ll leave it in the case).

“Hand-selected, medium-weight ash bodies with 5A flame maple tops matched with our incredibly stable, 3-pc quarter-sawn hard rock maple necks with Pau Ferro fingerboards, delivers deep, tight lows, transparent mids and just enough top-end to make for an incredibly balanced sonic palette. It also offers a 24-fret PLEK’d compound-radius fingerboard providing the effortless playability.

Fodera/Duncan dual-coil pickups and the Fodera/Pope Standard Preamp with 3-band EQ. Designed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, our passive Dual Coil pickups were designed to provide a punchy and focused tone with a natural and smooth upper midrange. Wired in parallel, these pickups offer a noise-free single coil sound with added body and weight yet come with the added flexibility of full single-coil operation providing the snap, warmth, and mid-range punch of classic single-coil Jazz Bass pickups. Designed for optimal performance, our 3-band Fodera/Pope preamp offers an incredibly low noise flow, a very musical sounding EQ, and active/passive operation for the utmost reliability and flexibility whether you’re on stage or in the studio. Together, these electronics let you tailor your tone, from deep and round to bright and punchy and everything in between."

Thanks! For me the Monarch shape is one of the most attractive basses out there and the topwoods are lovely - if you fancy losing an hour or two drooling, go over to their 'Newborn' gallery, they make some truly stunning instruments.

Stunning singlecut bass made in the Fodera workshop in Brooklyn, NYC.
      2009 build.
Buckeye top. Walnut body. Ebony fingerboard.
Fodera/Duncan singlecoil pickups with buckeye covers and matching ramp.
      Extended B string.
      26 'frets'.
      34" scale.
19mm string spacing at the bridge.
      48m nut width.
      Fodera premium padded gig bag.
Excellent overall condition. Some minor surface bumps which are unnoticeable unless closely inspected.
3 band EQ with selectable mid requency selector and coil tap switches.
I will consider pre-CBS Fender Jazz and Precision basses as trade options.
The bass is now residing in The Bass Gallery, in Camden, London where it can be viewed and played. They have suggested finance options for paying in installments too.

I've decided to move my Fodera on, as it's just not getting the love these days. It's at The Bass Gallery in Camden, London, as they are commission selling it on my behalf - so can be viewed and played there if you want to.
It was purchased from The Bass Gallery new, by me - I'm the only previous owner.
It's an early Std bolt on model, before they introduced the current 'flat headstock' style standards with a string tree. It's basically a custom Fodera with a slightly smaller headstock, 2 band 18v Pope preamp, bolt on (but with body contouring at the neck pocket). Beautifully understated bass that plays like butter! I wish I could keep it just hanging on the wall but sadly not an option 😞
      Subtle Flame maple front
Mahogany body c/w ebony veneer insert
3 piece rock maple bolt on 24 fret neck with tilted headstock and matching ebony veneer. MoP Fodera butterfly inlay.
      Rosewood Fingerboard with MoP inlays
      Brass nut
      Gold hardware
      EMG Active P/J Pups
      Pope 18v 2 band preamp - Vol with pull passive/Blend/Bass cut-boost/Treble cut-boost
      Ernie Ball inset straplocks
      Fodera teardrop standard hard case
It's in very nice condition, but does have one small 'scuff' on the inside of the lower horn and some very small marks on the top of the headstock.

      Looking for £3,250

Thanks for reading - feel free to PM me with any questions. For price negotiations, trade in talk, etc - please contact the guys at The Gallery.

More pics The only bass I ever owned that paid for itself via gigging. I bought it new from Denmark Street in 2003 and it was my only bass for about 5 years. It has some minor wear and tear but has been regularly waxed and well looked after.
At one point I had Martin at the Bass Gallery put mother-of-pearl dots in the fingerboard at my, ahem, 'difficult' places. Later thought better of it, so had Bernie at GB Guitars replace them with black plastic dots which are only visible in the right light. All top quality workmanship but hence the bargain price.
Ebony board on ovangkol bolt-on neck. Ash body with flame maple front. Three-band EQ with push-pull pot to engage passive mode. Gold hardware, side dots to mark 'fret' positions. A stonking solid bit of wooden loveliness weighing 4kg (8.82lb). Cuts through the mix like a big rusty carving knife of music. Also goes mwah.
Comes in a tough Warwick gig bag, though sadly not the original velvety-lined one (the cat found that and weeed on it).
Don't think you can get these now unless you pay Custom Shop prices with your puny English pounds.
Sorry, no overseas sales. I'm not mad keen to post but might be persuadable. Sensible offers may be entertained.
