Just picked up this amazing Fodera Monarch Victor Wooten Classic recently but I’m just more at home on a 33” scale 5 string so I’ve decided to let it go as it’s a shame to just have this just sitting at home and not getting much use. This bass was made in 2005 but it could nearly pass as brand new as it’s in excellent condition (I could only find one small ding on the upper horn!) The wood for the fingerboard also came from the same batch as the one used on Victor Wootens original Monarch #37! It also has an amazing upgraded Buckeye Burl topwood that is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen! This went through the Fodera Certified Preowned program back in about 2010 so has the newer Fodera/Pope Preamp that can have the frequencies adjusted by moving little jumpers inside. Signed by Victor Wooten on the back of the headstock!! Comes with a Fodera Teardrop case. Gotoh drop D tuner installed but comes with the regular Fodera tuner too
I’m not really looking for trades but might consider a 33” Fodera Monarch 5 or Imperial 5 (with 24 frets)!

70's Fender Jazz Bass 5 strings on steroids.
Official price was around $4000 USD (around £3200 GBP) at the time in the USA (just add all import duties to figure out the real higher tag price)... And good luck to find one early bird today in this condition.
All original (without butterfly, like all early models), except for the 90's Sadowsky preamp !!!
Here is all the information you need to understand that these early N.Y.C. basses were assembled and finished in the USA (here, for this very N.Y.C., by the two guys behind Fodera basses) with necks and bodies handcrafted in Japan with original Fodera woods (in batches of 6 pieces, so this one is out of the 15th batch) : https://www.bassplayer.com/gear/fodera-nyc-5-and-nyc-4
The photos with and without flash to see the real condition, which shows only some little wear with the usual marks of time, like the mandatory buckle marks at the back :
I decided to sell my beautiful Fodera Emperor 6 Standard. Bought new in 2014, i am the first owner. The Bass is in great condition, almost like new. The specs can be found on the Fodera website (link below) - it is exactly this instrument - Fodera E6S # 001. The photos on Fodera’s website are also much nicer than mine;)
The bass weighs only 9,8lb (4.45kg) according to my luggage scale and it comes with the original Fodera case in mint condition. I am in germany, but shipping to most EU countries is no problem. No trades at the moment !
Let me know if you would like to see any details or have some sound files. I am also happy to answer any question.
Thanks for watching !

I am not looking to trade, thank you.
Up for sale, sadly for me because I have a very busy job and can't get much time into playing anymore.
This I would rate as one of the of not the best 5 stringers I have owned, and I've owned about all of the top shelve beautique brands at some point. Craftmanship is really OCD/top notch, very unique neckshape very shallow and comfortable. I would say the sound is in between a Fodera and MTD. Huge B string, very even across the board, a real pro studio grade instrument.
The bass is in great condition as shown in the pics.
