Hi

Thinning the herd..

For sale my GK MB150E. 2x12

2x 12" Paragon speakers in a sealed cab 150w into 4ohms.

Fed up with lugging the MB150E plus the matching 12" extension cab I commissioned a 19mm Baltic Birch ply sealed cabinet with both the 12" Paragons from the MB150E and the extension cab creating a MB150E 2x12 combo.

It's a very small footprint for a 2x12 combo 400mm wide x 350mm deep x 770mm tall.

Satin varnished cabinet really looks attractive on stage. With added grab handles and a double padded cover included plus a printed copy of the owners manual.

The punchy warm GK sound without having to schlep around the extension cab  :)

Thanks for looking.

Nice idea making a combo .. I did a similar thing with my GK400RB but it turned out to be too heavy, so my question is ‘what’s the weight please ? ‘

And, in your opinion, is this loud enough to hang with a hard hitting rock drummer ?

I know that’s not an easy question to answer but just your thoughts as I think these GK’e are mainly used for ‘jazz’ type gigs with URB.

Yes, difficult to answer...

Yes it is heavy as I specifically made it out of special acoustic void free ply. I've no idea of weight but it's about the same as my Berg 2x12. (I used to leave it in theatres and concert halls so I never had to move it much).

Loudness - very difficult to say... It's rated at 150W but to my ears I think it sounds a whole lot more. To compare I used to have a Hartke 500W 15" combo and it's definitely louder than that from what I remember. (plus it's louder than my old Trace 350).

No idea if it'll keep up with your drummer? Depends how loud he/she is? But the 2 12" Paragon speakers really do cut through the mix. It is very punchy.

If you're local might be worth a trial?

Thanks for the reply & offer to try out, afraid I’m too far away.

I’ve a GK400RB & it’s 200w are loud so no surprise the 150 probably is too.

200 quid would be reasonable for either the 212 cab or amp alone, together an absolute bargain but I really need something lightweight.
