Good quality leather guitar strap?

A branded guitar co stool to sit on and play?

A swanky effects pedal of some description?

Four hundred square 9v batteries from the pound shop?

£400 in cash?

Got my ultimate strap..

Effects pedal is a def possibility but it’s an area with quite a bit of choice.....! :)

I’m more likely to go with 400 AAA batteries for the b#*%+}^% wireless

Extract actual cash from the missus rather than something she has to spend about 6 hours wrapping? Are you mad?!

Loads of strings, that's always useful.

A new little portable bass combo like those wonderful GSS 06B400.

A Tech 21 Q/Strip pedal preamp for that Shuker.

GSS 06B400 What now? (Catchy name tho!)

Shuker still at the Shuker hospital. More likely will be for ACG fretless 5.

I probably do need another preamp DI pedal tho. I’ve not bought one for about 4 months..

Lots of entry model basses for that money.

I'd look for a Revelation/ Sire Marcus Miller/ Korean thru neck Spector personally....or see how much Jabba would charge for one of his dinky short scale creations..

Of course I hear there is a very nice Yamaha available within your budget from a well respected, long standing BC member.😏😏

I was wondering whether I should go for a really oddball cheaper bass for the fun factor. Something a bit wacky.

Criteria would be:

- Not white

- Not Made in Taiwan

- Not have “BB” in the title

- Not be made by a manufacturer whose name starts with a “Y”

For the budget you speak of, two things spring to mind for me.

1. HX Stomp. Full of guitar and bass amps for you to tweak to your heart’s content.

2. Phil Jones Double Four, so you can play literally anywhere and get a bloody good sound doing it.

But I have full fat floor Helix......

PJDF might have to go on the list tho...

I found what you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/P-bass-guitar-stereo/192812451290?hash=item2ce48485da:g:5IIAAOSwQEtbKWy0&redirect=mobile

And your missus will have spare money for extra sets of Fender strings. 😁

I, er, I just...

Different strings to experiment with your sound. My band just asked what I want for my birthday next week and I went for a set of 5 D'Addario black tape-wounds for my acoustic. I'd put chrome or nickel flats on my 5 and probably also my 6 if I could afford them.

For a really portable combo I'd love a Markbass Micro 801.

Do you ever play with a pick? There's some serious fun and luxury to be had from Timbertones. If I had stupid money I'd have a few of these
