FS Bass parts clear out bodies, bridges, pickguards, strings....
£500

Folks

I need to get my garden studio insulated and if there’s any money left over, need to buy a head with a little more heft than my current unit (we tried getting our drummer to use lighter sticks but he just broke them all). So, I’m going to list in this thread loads of stuff that has been sitting around in various cupboards, drawers and boxes for several years, as well as a few things I’d rather not sell but which don't really get used that often. All prices include postage, but please be patient, there used to be four Post Offices within walking distance of my house and there’s now one, and that’s just been ‘upgraded’ to an automated service that even the folks who work there don't fully understand. In short, postage might take a week or so!

Happy to haggle, but no trades thanks :)

I have NO possible use for the first jazz but want it because I could make a replica of the first bass which caught my eye in a live situation 35 years ago. I need to get a grip.

No need to get a grip mate!

The first jazz is interesting; the neck that's currently on it, a Musikraft which I bought in the listing below, is not only sublime, but also works very very well with the Jazz body, better than it does the Precision I bought it for (it's somewhere between Jazz and Precision in dimensions). It also fits the blonde body like a glove. In short, the whole bass with the Dimarzios and circuit works really quite nicely, which is always an unpredictable element in putting together bitsas. I'm deliberating about whether to sell the body as above or the whole bass, it feels wrong to keep the two parts apart if you get my meaning.

The problem with Jazzes for me is that I love the idea of them, but never pick them for gigs or recording, so they just end up sitting in the studio for the occasional noodle. Bit of a waste of money really!

Amazing stuff from Musikraft!

If to be sold as a whole, what would you be looking at Beedster?

Hi mate, long time, hope all's well. I think £400 would give you a rather nice Jazz, and a rather lightweight one at that. I was thinking of spending a bit of time sanding & oiling the body and making a few cosmetic upgrades (removing the biro), but happy to sell as is. I found a rather unique Fender on eBay last night so need to move a couple of things on, I'm sure you understand :)

Cheers

Cheers Chris!

A bit out of my current budget but that neck alone is worth the difference for sure 👍

Still thinking about the body alone... need to find a convincing lie for the missus 😆

Thanks mate, the blonde body's on hold pending a discussion/decision about selling the whole bass.

Cheers

Hi Chris, that last pair of p bass covers still kicking around?  Defs fits a Fender P?  (My '74 is drilled for them, don't want to have to drill more!)
Cheers 😃
